Flashpoint Labs received a $10,000 Community Grant from the Westpac Foundation to run a 4-weekend workshop aimed at giving 15 Indigenous youth an insight into the media (photo and video) industry. It provided them with the basic skills necessary to be apart of our apprentice program.
Flashpoint Labs was invited to run a 40 minute workshop at Vibewire’s Fastbreak event.
We ran a changemaking photography workshop based around creating a social media campaign targeting bullying. Our apprentices helped the workshop participants with idea generation and how to take and set up clever photo ideas. One of our apprentices also filmed and edited this video.
Flashpoint Labs ran a night time photography workshop during Vivid Sydney, for the students of Wilcannia Central School. We also documented the kids time in Sydney and made them this video as a memento of their trip.
